Sovereignty

Your data lives with you, not us

Meredosia Suite runs local-first, encrypts every record at rest with AES-256-GCM, and hands you a clean single-file export whenever you want it. Nothing about your business is held hostage on someone else's server.

What local-first actually means

Most website builders keep your contacts, content, and bookings in their cloud, where you rent access to your own records by the month. Meredosia inverts that. The data lives on your machine first, and the network is something you opt into, not something you depend on.

Runs on your machine

Your contacts, pages, media, and booking history are stored on hardware you control. The app opens and works whether or not it can reach the internet.

Encrypted at rest

Every record is sealed with AES-256-GCM before it touches disk. If the drive is lost or stolen, the data is ciphertext without your key.

Open, readable formats

Content lives in plain, documented formats rather than a proprietary blob. What you export is what you can actually read and reuse elsewhere.

Works offline

No connection is required to edit a page, add a contact, or check a booking. Sync is an enhancement, never a prerequisite for using your own tools.

Sync you control

LAN and mesh sync keep your own devices in step without a middleman. You decide which machines share, and the data never routes through a vendor you did not choose.

No hostage clause

There is no tier that unlocks your history, no plan that gates an export, and no account suspension that can lock you out of records you created.

OWNERSHIP

The data ownership checklist teal

Sovereignty is not a slogan, it is a set of concrete properties you can verify. Here is what owning your data looks like in practice inside Meredosia Suite.

Local-first storageYour records are written to your device first, so the app is usable and your data is present even with no network at all.
AES-256-GCM at restAuthenticated encryption protects both the confidentiality and the integrity of every stored record, not just a login screen.
DID-signed identityYour identity is a decentralized identifier backed by an Ed25519 key that you hold, not an email and password on a vendor's user table.
Portable unlockUnlock with a USB security key, a FIDO2 or WebAuthn authenticator, or a TPM, so access travels with hardware you own.
Recovery sharesSplit recovery material into shares you can store separately, so losing one device never means losing the business.
Roaming sign-inBring your identity to another trusted machine and pick up where you left off, without re-registering with anyone.
LAN and mesh syncKeep laptops, desktops, and back-office machines in step over your own network, with no cloud account in the loop.
Open formatsContent and data are stored in documented, readable formats so nothing is trapped in a shape only the vendor understands.
Single-file exportContacts, content, and bookings come out together in one clean export you can archive, migrate, or hand to another system.
No lock-inThere is no plan, seat count, or billing state that can gate your access to records you already own.
Owned licenseThe software itself is a one-time owned license, so your ability to open your data does not depend on a live subscription.
AT REST

AES-256-GCM on every record violet

Encryption in Meredosia is not a checkbox on a settings page, it is the default state of your data on disk. Every record is sealed before it is written, using authenticated encryption that detects tampering as well as prying eyes.

  • Authenticated encryption GCM verifies integrity as well as confidentiality, so a silently altered record is rejected rather than trusted.
  • Keys you hold The keys that open your data are bound to your identity and your hardware, not escrowed on a server you cannot see.
  • Sealed by default There is no unencrypted mode to forget to turn on, the protection travels with the data itself.

IDENTITY

One identity, many ways to unlock sky

Your account is a DID-signed identity backed by an Ed25519 keypair that belongs to you. Instead of a password sitting in a vendor's database, you prove who you are with hardware you can hold in your hand.

  • USB, FIDO2, or TPM Unlock with a portable USB key, a FIDO2 or WebAuthn authenticator, or the TPM built into your machine.
  • Recovery you control Recovery shares let you restore access on your terms if a device is lost, with no support ticket required.
  • Roaming sign-in Carry your identity to another trusted device and keep working, without handing an intermediary the keys.

PORTABILITY

A single clean export, any time emerald

The truest test of ownership is how easily you can leave. Meredosia gives you one export that gathers your contacts, your content, and your bookings into a portable, readable package you can take anywhere.

  • Everything together Contacts, pages and media, and the full booking history come out in one coherent export, not scattered downloads.
  • Readable formats The export uses open, documented formats so another system, or a future you, can actually parse it.
  • No gate Export is always available, never held behind a higher tier or an active billing status.

Own it, never rent it

The real difference is who it belongs to.

Renting your business

the typical builder

A monthly fee forever. Stop paying and your site, bookings, and store go dark.
Bookings, a CRM, and payments are each an upsell, gated one feature at a time.
They hold your data and your customer list on their servers.
Payments route through their balance and their cut before you see a dollar.
Export is an afterthought. Lock-in is the whole business model.

Owning it with the sovereign way

how this works

A one-time owned license. It keeps working because it is yours to keep.
Website, CRM, booking, and payments are all included, with no per-feature ransom.
Your data is local-first, encrypted, and leaves in a single clean export.
Payouts settle straight to your bank on your own processor. No middle balance.
No lock-in. Self-host the whole thing or move it anywhere, anytime.

How your export works

  1. Open export

From the app, choose to export your workspace. No request to a server and no waiting queue, it runs locally on your own data.

  2. Pick the scope

Take everything or select just the contacts, content, or bookings you need. The choice is yours, not a plan's.

  3. Write a single file

Meredosia gathers your records into one portable file in open formats, sealed or plain as you prefer.

  4. Take it anywhere

Archive it, move it to another machine, or hand it to a different system. Your data leaves as cleanly as it arrived.

Why this matters more than it sounds

When your records live in someone else's cloud, ownership is a story you are told, not a fact you can check. A price change, an account review, or a company shutting down can put years of contacts and content out of reach overnight. Local-first storage with strong encryption and a clean export changes the relationship entirely. Your data is present on your hardware, sealed with keys you hold, and portable on your command. That is the difference between renting access to your own business and actually owning it, and it is the foundation everything else in Meredosia Suite is built on.

Data sovereignty questions

Where is my data actually stored?
On your own device, first and by default. Meredosia is local-first, so your contacts, content, and bookings are written to hardware you control rather than a vendor's cloud.
What encryption do you use?
Records are sealed at rest with AES-256-GCM, an authenticated encryption scheme that protects both the confidentiality and the integrity of your data.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is locked. The license is a one-time owned license, and your data lives locally in open formats, so your access to your own records does not depend on a live subscription.
Can I get everything out in one piece?
Yes. A single export gathers contacts, content, and bookings into one portable file in open, documented formats that other systems can read.
How do I sign in without a password on your server?
You use a DID-signed identity backed by an Ed25519 key, and you unlock with a USB security key, a FIDO2 or WebAuthn authenticator, or your machine's TPM.
What if I lose my device?
Recovery shares let you restore access on another machine, and roaming sign-in lets you bring your identity to a new trusted device without registering with anyone.
Do my devices sync through your cloud?
No. LAN and mesh sync keep your own devices in step over your own network. You choose which machines participate, with no vendor in the middle.
Is any of this readable outside your app?
Yes. Data and content are stored and exported in open, documented formats, so nothing is trapped in a proprietary blob only Meredosia can open.
